We are currently hiring Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians to work as technical resources in our mission-critical data centers in multiple locations across Sweden: Eskilstuna, Västerås, and Katrineholm.
AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating all AWS global infrastructure. In short, we are the team that keeps the cloud running. We support AWS data centers and manage the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems that ensure our customers have continuous access to the innovation they depend on. We tackle complex challenges, dealing with thousands of variables that impact the supply chain — and we are looking for talented individuals to join us in this mission.
A valid driver's license is required for this role.
This position requires the ability to work a 24x7 shift rotation.
The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician will help ensure the availability and reliability of data center operations, meeting or exceeding service levels. Due to the rapid expansion of AWS Data Centers, we are seeking individuals to operate and maintain these facilities, contributing to both facility maintenance and efficiency improvements that provide better value for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
Assist in the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, and HVAC equipment within the data center. This equipment supports mission-critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.
Support the maintenance and monitoring of all data center systems, including incidents, events, problems, changes, and escalations.
Troubleshoot and monitor mechanical, electrical, HVAC, voice/data, cooling, fire/life safety systems, and generators.
Assist contractors or engineers in maintaining facility equipment, deploying new equipment (racks, cabling, etc.), and conducting site walkthroughs to verify equipment and system operations.
In this role, you will act as a First Responder to critical events and support both new and existing data center facilities.

A day in the life
Your day-to-day activities will include:
Monitoring alarms and systems that manage power, cooling, and fire suppression in the data center.
Coordinating vendor work on-site to ensure equipment is maintained and uptime is preserved.
Supporting other teams and sites during events and planned works.
Handling rack installations and powering up equipment.
Monitoring and facilitating the handover of new equipment.
Sharing knowledge and supporting new team members.
Participating in event response drills.

Basic qualifications:
1 to 4 years of experience with electrical, mechanical and/or controls (degree or trade qualification preferred)
Demonstrate key electrical and mechanical competencies and theory
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred qualifications:
Professional Certification in Electrical, Mechanical or Controls engineering.
Heavy industry or data center experience.
Understanding of basic electrical principles and systems.

Key job responsibilities:

In addition to acting as a Facilities First Responder to critical events, you will be a part of the team supporting new data center facilities and existing data center facilities!
Day to day activities for this role include;

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Security Team is seeking a highly talented and motivated Security Program Manager to join our team in Sweden. At Amazon, we are working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. The position is contributing in the design, installation and integration of security systems equipment including, but not limited to, Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems. The positions is also responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs of the of security systems equipment. The ideal candidate for the role will be willing and able to work in all related disciplines, at all levels; from technology research to system design and layout, oversight of construction and implementation, as well as maintenance and upgrades over the life of the system. The candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of security technology, be innovative, highly organized, and will have demonstrated the ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
The Security Program Manager (SPM) is a key member of the EMEA Security team and reports to the Cluster Security Manager in Sweden. The SPM's ultimate success will be measured by how they assist with the development, implementation and commissioning of standardized security infrastructure systems for the AWS region. This is measured by agreed upon objectives and metrics related to key areas such as the level and quality of customer service provided, access control effectiveness, and the protection of our customer data, employees and visitors. The position is responsible for observing Physical Security Standards and Programs that support the goals of the Global Physical Security Team while enabling the local site managers to draw related services from the team, in a self-service manner. This includes:
Excellent project management skills are required with ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have experience in prioritizing tasks effectively and working seamlessly across organizational boundaries.
Executes and coordinates preventative maintenance and repairs of the of security systems equipment.
Securing the compliance of physical security project standards, project Scopes of Work, budgets and timelines.
Designs, develops, and implements solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs and change outs.
Support security system equipment commissioning.
Completing the final Test and Acceptance of security systems.
Build and deploy training programs for all users of the physical security systems. Basic qualifications
+3 years of experience in managing the operation, installation and maintenance of regional and/or global physical security systems.
Experience as a Physical Security Program Manager for large, complex, installations. Advanced knowledge and experience with the Security Integrator Industry.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BlueBeam or other design tools.
High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information; excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy.
Advanced skills in all Microsoft products with a special emphasis on Excel.
Ability to travel 20% of the time.
Ability to work at times in an industrial environment.
Excellent teamwork skills, results oriented, high energy and self-motivated.
